Help & support

Answers to the usual questions, and a real person at the other end if they don't cover it.

Your account

I forgot my password

On the Sign in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your username or email. We'll email you a link to choose a new password; it works once, for an hour.

The link can only go to an email address saved on your account. If you haven't added one yet, do it now from the Add your email card on your home screen, so you're covered.

What's the difference between a guest and an account?

A guest can play right away without signing up, but lives in one browser or one app install. Clear that browser, or delete the app, and the guest's games can't be recovered.

A free account keeps your games safe and lets you play on any device. Create one from Me → Create free account: your guest games move into it.

How do I play on another phone or computer?

Sign in with the same username and password, in the app or at crazy10s.com. All your games are there, including the ones in progress.

How do I change my name?

Open Me (your Profile) and edit Display name. The new name shows in every game that's still going; finished games keep the old one. Your username can't be changed.

How do I delete my account?

Open Me → Delete account and type your username to confirm. It's deleted right away, and you're signed out everywhere. Any game in progress against a person ends as a give-up.

Exactly what's deleted and what stays is in the privacy policy. Can't sign in? Email us from the address on your account.

Games

Why won't my move play?

PLAY stays grey until your tiles make a legal move. Tap it anyway and it tells you why. The usual reasons:

  • A line your tiles touch doesn't add up to exactly 10. Every line counts, across and down.
  • The tiles aren't joined to each other in one straight line or connected shape.
  • They don't touch a tile that's already on the board.

The full rules, with examples, are in How to Play.

My opponent hasn't moved

Games have no clock: each player moves when they have time, so a game can take a few minutes or a few days. You'll get a notification when it's your turn. If you'd rather not wait, open the game's … menu on the home screen, or More → End game, to give up.

A game isn't showing the latest move

If the same game is open on two devices at once, only the one you opened last updates live. Go back to your games and open it again.

It says I've reached my limit as a guest

Guests can play a few games against other people. To keep playing, create a free account; your games come with you. Games against the Computer and Practice are never limited.

When does the Daily Puzzle change?

At midnight Eastern time (Toronto), the same moment for everyone. You get 3 tries and your best score counts. You don't need an account; if you make one later, your Daily scores move into it.

Reporting or blocking a player

How do I report someone?

In a game with them, tap More → Report or block and pick what happened: offensive chat, an offensive name, cheating or something else. The report comes to us with the game's recent chat, and we review reports within 24 hours.

What does blocking do?

Once you block someone, you won't be matched with them, they can't invite you or chat with you, and their old messages are hidden from you. A game you already started together can still be finished or given up.

To undo it, open Me → Blocked players and tap Unblock.

The app

I'm not getting notifications

The app asks to send notifications the first time you play someone, start a Random Match or invite a friend. If you said no, or never got asked:

  • iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Crazy10s and turn on Allow Notifications.
  • Android: Settings → Apps → Crazy10s → Notifications and turn them on.

You won't get one while you're looking at that game; the move just appears.

Which phones can run the app?

iPhones with iOS 15 or later, and Android phones with Android 7.0 or later. Or play in any browser at crazy10s.com, nothing to install. More about the app on the app page.

Something looks broken

Email us what you were doing when it happened, your phone or browser, and a screenshot if you can. It helps us fix it quickly.
